CECOS London College takes pride in arranging special programmes for exchange students, and actively encourages institutions to get in contact to discuss the possibility of offering dual-subjects, thus providing an opportunity for undergraduates to study certain parts of the core programme right here in London whilst simultaneously working towards their final qualification back home at their primary School, College or University.

CECOS London College has already hosted such programmes, as follows:

Case Study: Lycée Newton ENREA, Paris, France

CECOS London College played host to students from France, to assist them in their ongoing study on the topic entitled “Integration & discrimination in Paris and in London".

The Academic Team at CECOS London College worked closely with the Academic Head from Lycée Newton ENREA to ensure that the intensive study Programme designed and conducted in London would meet the requirements of the French Curriculum, to assist students in gaining a final qualification on their return to France.

The Academic Coordinator at CECOS London College created an intensive course outline encompassing Daily Seminars on the theme “Discrimination and Integration from A British Perspective”, Daily IT Skills Workshops to aid students in preparing project work, and regular intervals of General English tuition to support students throughout the whole programme. At the end of the course, students were required to submit a typed assignment at the London campus, and this assignment was designed to directly benefit the students’ main aims, of successfully completing their core body of study at their home campus in France.

In addition to a thoroughly defined and well structured programme of study at the London campus, CECOS also provided accommodation in student hostels, 3 meals per day, at the hostel , and also at college, transport to and from the hostel and the college, as well as incorporating excursions into the schedule. During the term, students were taken on field trips to conduct research, as well as extra-curricular activities such as visits to museums and sites of local and national interest, thus satisfying the tourism, entertainment, and social needs of the students also.

The programme was a great success and it allowed students to learn new information on Discrimination each day (The core topic as informed to us by Lycée Newton ENREA), and created opportunities for the French exchange students to gain new skills in computing and English, so that they were able to successfully complete a study assignment that formed an integral part of the course at CECOS London College. The exchange also provided opportunities for students to experience life in one of the worlds most cosmopolitan cities, London, as well offering opportunities to visit tourist attractions and sites holding national and historical interest.
